MA Jabbar, Jatiya Party vice-chairman and its former MP from Satkhira-2, died at a city hospital on Tuesday. He was 76.
Jabbar, who had long been suffering from various old-age complications, breathed his last at United Hospital in the city around 10am, said Jatiya Party Chairman’s deputy press secretary Khandaker Deloar Jalaii.
He said the ex-MP is survived by wife, three sons, four daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Jabbar was elected MP of the ninth parliament from Satkhira-2 seat with Jatiya Party ticket.
Meanwhile, Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader expressed deep shock at the death of Jabbar.
In a condolence message, he prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul of the ex-MP and conveyed sympathy to his bereaved family members.
