Indian hospital offers low-cost treatment for Bangladeshis

New Delhi-based SCI International Hospital in India offers medical treatment with affordable cost for in vitro fertilisation (IVF), male infertility, urology, orthopaedics and ENT to patients all over the world, including Bangladesh. The doctors of the hospital said this at a discussion titled ‘Health Talk’ at Dhaka Club in the capital recently, said a press release. The hospital in association with Rotary Club of Eskaton, Dhaka organised the event.

Dr Vishal Dutt Gour, Dr Gautam Banga, Dr Shivani Sachdev Gour, Dr Shomeshwar Sing and Dr Vinay Aggarwal were present as key speakers at the discussion. They discussed various health topics including male infertility, current trends regarding infertility, reconstructive urology, importance of early intervention in hearing impairment, sports injuries and arthritis.

“Our aim is to serve safe treatments for the patients at a low cost compared to other developed countries,” said DrVishal Dutt Gour. More than 12 million babies were born with IVF, said Dr Shivani. Fortunately, the number of infertility clinics was expanding with advanced technologies and healthcare, she added.

The other discussant Dr Shomeshwar Shing spoke about hearing problems while Dr Vinay Aggarwal talked on sports injuries and Dr Gautam Banga highlighted on reconstructive urology surgery.

After successfully establishing IVF centre, Dr Vishal and Dr Shivani established the hospital in Greater Kailash of New Delhi in 2014, the release said. When asked about the social taboo, the doctors said that many Bollywood stars, high profile-people are having test-tube babies. It is creating a positive impact on society and SCI hospital is doing many activities to promote IVF.
