Veteran filmmaker, film editor, film society activist and freedom fighter Saidul Anam Tutul died on December 18. The sudden demise of this iconic film personality is being mourned by Federation of Film Societies of Bangladesh (FFSB) and all affiliated film societies under FFSB, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), Bangladesh Short Film Forum, Bangladesh Documentary Parshad and Directors’ Guild.
DhakaLive has news that a decision for arranging a commemorative programme nationally to remember Saidul Anam Tutul has been taken recently. The commemorative event will be held tomorrow at 6pm at the National Art Plaza auditorium of BSA in Segun Bagicha of the capital. The event will feature reminiscing memories of Saidul Anam Tutul and discussion on his life and work. Earlier at 4pm, Saidul Anam Tutul-directed film ‘Adhiyar’ will be screened before the commemorative event.
