Two Myanmar nationals were arrested for their involved link to Myanmar insurgent group ‘Arakan Army’ from Kainda in Rajasthali, Rangamati early Saturday.
The arrestees were Tosoi Aung Marma, 42, and Mong Chong Wang Marma, 39.
Rajasthali Police officer-in-charge Wahidullah Sarkar said a team of army and police personnel conducted a joint drive in the area and arrested them on suspicion of their involvement with the insurgent group of ‘Arakan Army’ at about 5:00am, reports UNB.
However, a case was filed under Anti-Terrorism Act with Rajasthali Police Station on Saturday, said the OC.
On 27 August, a Myanmar citizen was arrested at Rajasthali, adjacent to Rangamati-Bandarban border, for his suspected link to Myanmar insurgent group ‘Arakan Army’ following a gunfight between BGB and the insurgent group members in Bandarban.
