DHAKA: Four female activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) were injured in a clash with Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) workers on the Dhaka University campus on Wednesday.
The injured were identified as JCD leaders Monira Akther Rikta, Shawkat Ara Urmi, Shahinur Begum Sagar and Runa.
Witnesses said the trouble ensued when BCL activists attacked a procession of JCD unit of Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital and tried to enter Ekushey Book Fair venue in the afternoon.
Later, police arrested the injured four JCD activists.
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir condemned the incident.
