Bangladesh reaction over death of Osama bin Laden

Dhaka: The government in a reaction over the death of Osama bin Laden has said that this constitutes a major development in the global war on terror.

“The Government of Bangladesh unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations in the strongest possible terms,” said a Foreign Ministry release issued on Monday.

“Bangladesh values its partnership with the international community in the global effort to root out terrorism and will continue its efforts toward that end regionally, internationally and multilaterally,” it said.

The United States on Monday announced having conducted an operation which resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al-Qaeda, bringing an end to a decade-long search.
