Bishwajit to watch ‘Sarangshe Tumi’ with 250 lucky viewers

The first duet album for National Film Award winning popular singer and music director Kumar Bishwajit titled ‘Sarangshe Tumi’ was released in Bangladesh in January under the banner of Banglar Dhol.  ‘Sarangshe Tumi’ features Samina Chowdhury, Nancy and Kolkata’s Shubhomita who lent their vocals with Bishwajit in the duet album. The album consists of eight tracks and the lyrics have been written by Shahidullah Farayazi, Kabir Bakul, Ibrahim Fatmi, Shafiq Tuhin, Zulfikar Rasel, Hena Islam and Panchu Bhattacharya.
In addition, with the eight tracks of the album, a musical film titled ‘Sarangshe Tumi’ has been made. The script has been written by National Film Award and Ekushey Padak winning lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar and directed by Ashiqur Rahman. The shooting of the film took place in various scenic locations in Bandarban, Cox’s Bazar, Himchari, Jaflong and other picturesque destinations around the country. The musical film recently also got the censor certificate.
On June 1, the eminent singer-director will celebrate his birthday and his plans centres on spending time with his family. However, this birthday will somewhat be different compared to the others. Banglalink subscribers have been able to properly download and listen to the songs from ‘Sarangshe Tumi’. The ones who have the most downloads are certainly in for a treat as Kumar Bishwajit, on the occasion of his birthday, will select 250 lucky subscribers  and watch ‘Sarangshe Tumi’ along with them and the entire unit of the film on June 4 in Basundhara Cineplex.
Kumar Bishwajit spoke further about ‘Sarangshe Tumi’, “Receiving the censor certificate for this film is a new step forward for our music industry. From this, we can even apply for the film’s nomination for the National Film Award in the short film category. The musical film has added a new milestone. I am extremely grateful to everyone associated with the project.”
To note, after June 4, ‘Sarangshe Tumi’ can be viewed on YouTube and also by subscribers of various mobile phone companies. l
