United States Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Sarah Sewall arrived in the capital yesterday on a three-day visit. She is leading a delegation of senior US officials that will meet with government officials, civil society, and students to discuss issues ranging from security to human rights. Meanwhile, US Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Alan Bersin will arrive today on a two-day visit. He will lead a US interagency delegation comprising officials from DHS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of State. The delegation will hold a series of meetings with government officials to engage on security issues and to discuss potential areas for collaboration in areas such as aviation security and law enforcement.
