Popular model-actress Nijhum Rubina will be appearing in a new film titled ‘Megh Kanya’, directed by Minhaz Avi. The film is set to be released this year.She will be acting opposite National Film Award winning actor Ferdous in the film. DhakaLive has news that produced under the banner of Joya Multimedia Production , the work for the film is at its final stages.
Rubina spoke about her role in the film, “The audience will get to see me in four different roles in the film. The film is glittered with wonderful music and stories. In this film, I have acted as a student, teacher, wife and mother. I play a character by the name of Maya. I am very hopeful about ‘Megh Kanya’. I hope the audience admires and appreciates my performance in the film.”
To note, Nijhum Rubina made her debut on the big screen through Zakir Hussain Raju’s ‘Er Beshi Bhalobasha Jai Na’, where she acted opposite Saimon. After the release of the film, she has been receiving various film offers. She is currently awaiting the release of Abir Khan and Rashed Shamim’s ‘Postmaster 71’ and Mohammad Aslam’s ‘Bhalobasha Dotcom.’
Nijhum Rubina received the media limelight through modeling for a television commercial for Grameenphone in 2008. Following that, she modelled for several commercials for Kopikop Chocolate, Sharif Melamine, Botanic Aroma, Pran RFL Closet, Muslim Rangapuri Mehendi, Muslim Rangapuri Hair Oil, among others.l
