A minor girl was raped allegedly by a juice vendor at Matuail of Jatrabari in the capital on Friday, family members said yesterday. According to the family members of the victim, their neighbour Habibur Rahman, 30, a juice vendor, took her to his residence offering juice on Friday noon. As my daughter became sick, I brought her to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). After checking, DMCH Medical Officer Dr Shormila referred her to the One Stop Crisis Centre. However, Inspector Obani Sanker Kar, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari police station said he verbally heard about the incident but no one came with such complaint. If any one comes, I shall take legally action, the OC added.
