Moosa submits wealth statement to ACC
Controversial business tycoon and DATCO Group chairman Moosa Bin Shamsher yesterday submitted wealth statement to the ACC, reports UNB. He submitted the statement to ACC secretary M Maksudul Hasan Khan through a representative, ACC soucres said. Earlier, on May 19, ACC deputy director and inquiry officer Mir Zoynul Abedin Shibly sent notice to DATCO Group’s Gulshan office seeking Shamsher’s wealth report. Moosa featured in cover stories of The Sunday Telegraph Magazine (UK) and many other business magazines, including Business Asia, revealing that he has accumulated wealth worth about $7b. Considering the reports published in international media about his lifestyle, income and income sources, the ACC on November 3, 2014 decided to launch a probe against ‘Prince’ Moosa, who is believed to have made his fortune selling arms during the Iran-Iraq war.
