Mousumi Hamid to speak Dhakaiya dialect in Eid tele-drama
Lustrous model-actress Mousumi Hamid will be seen speaking in Dhakaiya dialect in an Eid special tele-drama titled ‘Laabh Khothi Soman Soman’, written by Fahmid Abir and directed by Jamal Mallik. The shooting of the drama has already been completed in different locations of Old Dhaka. Popular actor Sajal has paired up with the runner up of Lux Channel i Superstar 2010, Mousumi Hamid in the tele-drama. Regarding her role as Liza in the drama, Mousumi Hamid said, “My friend Zishan, who resides in Old Dhaka, helped me out in picking up the Dhakaiya dialect. Without Zishan’s support and guidance, it would have been very difficult for me to speak this dialect properly. ‘Laabh Khothi Soman Soman’ has a fantastic plot and I hope the viewers will thoroughly enjoy the drama.”
Interestingly, Mousumi Hamid is going to appear in this kind of tele-drama for the second time, where she will speak Dhakaiya dialect yet again. She was seen earlier playing a role with Dhakaiya dialect for the first time in Shoraf Ahmed Jibon’s tele-drama. The upcoming August will certainly be an exciting month for Mousumi Hamid, as two of her new films, ‘Black Money’ directed by Safiuddin Safi and ‘Blackmail’ directed by Anannya Mamun, will see its release on August 7 and August 14 respectively. On the other hand, she is also taking part in the shooting of another new film titled ‘Shodh Pratishodh’, directed by Firoz Khan Prince. Besides, the Mousumi Hamid-acted drama serial ‘Shaathti Taara Teemee’, directed by Afsana Mimi, is being aired on ATN Bangla. The actress is also starring in an upcoming drama serial titled ‘Jokhono Kokhono’, directed by Rahmatullah Tuhin and produced by Richi Solaiman, which will soon be aired on TV. However, Mousumi Hamid’s Eid special ‘Laabh Khoti Soman Soman’ will be aired on a satellite TV channel during the coming Eid-ul-Fitr. l
