NoFeL Sporting Club joined with Team BJMC to be relegated from the Bangladesh Premier League Football after a 2-2 draw with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club yesterday. Held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the first match, NoFeL Sporting Club came from two goals behind to end their last match of the season with 2-2 draw but it was not enough for NoFeL to survive from the relegation.

Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, the three time champions of the Bangladesh Premier League finished on sixth position with obtaining 28 points after seven wins, as many draws and suffered 10 defeats. NoFeL, who just promoted in the Premier League this year after being the runners-up of previous season Champions League could not remain the top flight when they finished on second last position among 13 teams league.

NoFeL could manage 20 points from 24 matches with five victories and as many draws when they suffered 14 defeats and Team BJMC, who were confirmed the relegation almost at the midway of the second leg of the league earned 11 points from 23 matches and one match left to complete the league.

However, after NoFeL’s confirmation, Brothers and Rahmatganj got great relief when they were also under huge threat to be relegated, as they were just one point ahead of NoFeL with 21 points, one match each to play.

On the day, Sabuj scored both the goals for Jamal, when he struck first one on 15th minute and doubled the advantage on 51st minute.

NoFeL came in action late hour with Kamrul Islam reducing first one on 55th minute and Ismail Bangoura squared the tally 2-2 on 85th minute, which could not halt their relegation.

In the day's other match at the Rafiquddin Bhuyian Stadium in Mymensingh, Saif Sporting Club defeated Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 3-1.

Saif finished on fourth with 47 points after winning 14, drew five and suffered as many matches out of 24 encounters.
