Narsingdi: A court yesterday sentenced a man to death and seven others to life imprisonment for killing a madrasah student in 2011, reports UNB. The condemned convict was identified as Farid Miah while the lifers were Mostafa Hossain, Jakir Hossain Babul, Siam Miah, Touhid Miah, Sanaullah, Dulal Miah and Joynal Miah. According to the prosecution, Mahfuz Hossain, 16, a Class-X student of Borochapa Karamali Senior Fazil Madrasah and son of Abdus Sattar of Kayet village in Monohardi upazila, was stabbed to death by the convicts on November 10, 2011 over a previous enmity.
