The prosecution at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) yesterday concluded their part of hearing on charge framing against five alleged Razakars from Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj, reports BSS. Prosecutor Sultan Mahmud Simon took part in the hearing in presence of the two defence counsels. Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the three-member panel of ICT, set September 28 for defence hearing on the matter. The five accused are advocate Shamsuddin Ahmed, his brother Md Nasiruddin Ahmed, Gazi Abdul Mannan, Hafiz Uddin and Azharul Islam. Of them, Shamsuddin is now in custody. Earlier on May 13, the tribunal took seven charges against them into cognizance. According to the prosecution, the accused had carried out gruesome crimes against humanity in Bidyanagar, Aila, Fatergup Beel, Piraton Beel and adjacent areas under Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj in 1971.
