Bangladesh Women’s Cricket Team will return to their training business with the second leg after a week-long Eid vacation at the Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium (SKS) in Rajshahi today ahead of ICC Women’s World T20.
The showpiece event for the women’s T20 cricket is scheduled to get underway in the West Indies, starting November 2.
All the 32-member Bangladesh preliminary squad, announced by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is due to leave Dhaka for Rajshahi yesterday (Saturday) night for a five-week-long camp.
It is learnt from the BCB sources that all the foreign coaching staffs including head coach Anju Jain, her assistant Devika Dilip Palshikhaar, physio Anuja Dalvi and trainer Kabita Pandey, who went to their home country will back Dhaka on Saturday (today) to join the second leg training camp.
After this part of training session, they will play a bi-lateral series against their Pakistan counterparts, the series which has been arranged by the BCB for them for their World Cup preparation.
The number of the matches of the series will be a three-match or five-match affair which is yet to finalise. But it’s slated to decide within the next week.
Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium (SANS) in Khulna will host all the matches of the series between Bangladesh and visiting Pakistan eves’ cricket team.
Nazmul Abedin Fahim, team operation manager (TOM) of BCB women’s cricket repeatedly told media that they are trying to bring a World Cup playing team in Bangladesh to play some games for their World Cup preparation.
