Bangladesh High Commissioner in New Delhi Syed Muazzem Ali attended the 4th convocation of Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (GFSU) at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, reports UNB.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the convocation on August 23 as the chief guest, while the High Commissioner as a guest of honour. Ambassadors and diplomats of 19 foreign missions based in New Delhi attended the Convocation at the invitation of the University, said the High Commission yesterday.
Narendra Modi greeted the envoys during the convocation.
The GFSU, the only forensic university in the world, has good association with Bangladesh. Bangladesh signed a MoU with the GFSU, wherein police officers come from Bangladesh for training every year. Since 2010, around 200 officers from Bangladesh have received training here on forensic sciences.
On the sidelines of the Convocation, Bangladesh High Commissioner held a meeting with the University authorities and discussed possible ways to further consolidate the existing links with the University and explore newer areas of cooperation to further strengthen the expertise of Bangladeshi police officers to counter the growing challenge of cybercrimes.
