RANGPUR: Intern doctors of Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) withdrew their work abstention on Sunday morning, nearly 14 hours after they imposed the strike to press a set of demands centering on security issues, reports UNB.
Acting director of the Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH)Dr Ajay Kumar Roy said the interns called off the strike around 10 am after the hospital authorities assured them that their demands would be met.
On Saturday evening, the intern doctors started the strike demanding that the authorities take steps to build a police outpost in the campus premises, arrange security for the interns, appoint one security officer in every ward and allow patients' attendants to enter theRangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) after 12 pm every day.
