Zaki clinches Sikder Group Golf title

Zaki  Ahmed emerged champion in the 5th Sikder Group Independence Cup Golf Tournament held at the Kurmitola Golf Club course in the capital on Friday.

S M Abdullah Farabi became runner-up, while Kim Hae Soon lifted the trophy in ladies category. A total of 534 golfers, among them a good number of foreign and female golfers took part in the 3-day long tournament from March 22 to 24.
Major General AKM Abdur Rahman, Director General, Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS), Rick Haque Sikder, chairman  and Ron Haque Sikder, Managing Director of R&R Aviation and R&R Holdings distributed prizes on Friday  among the winners in 18 different categories. Earlier in the morning, Major General AKM Abdur Rahman inaugurated the tournament releasing balloons and hoisting the national flag. Ron Haque Sikder and Major General AKM Abdullahil Baquee, vice president of Kurmitola Golf Club were present to witness the tee-off.
