Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque yesterday said the Korean cooperation agency expressed its interest to support police for enhancing capacity aimed at combating terrorism, reports BSS.
"The KOICA (Korean International Cooperation Agency) also established forensic laboratory along with provided training to police for enhancing capacity," he said this after a call on with a Korean delegation at Police Headquarters Office in the capital.
The Korean delegation led by Korean Ambassador in Dhaka AHN Seong-doo, while Joe Hyungue, country director of KOICA, Bangladesh Office was present. The IGP said that South Korean envoy also agreed to provide cooperation to Bangladesh alongside building capacity, adding, "Ambassador AHN Seong-doo also appreciated Bangladesh police for holding the first ever international police conference a successful."
