NARAYANGANJ: A police vehicle plunged into a roadside field after being dashed by a looted truck a gang of robbers was fleeing with at Fatullah in Sadar upazila on Monday morning, leaving five policemen of Fatullah model police station injured, reports UNB. Later, the law enforcers arrested a bullet-hit robber after a gunfight. Four of the injured policemen were identified as sub-inspector Nahid Ahmed, assistant sub-inspector Quamrul Hasan and constables Mazammel Sultan and Sohel while the bullet-hit robber is Ibrahim Miah Kalam, a resident of Pagla area in Fatullah. ASI Quamrul Hasan said police signaled the rod-laden truck looted from the capital to stop at Tufani Jame Mosque checkpost in the early hours.
