The Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) has provided new electricity connection to three lakh four thousand and eight hundred households in the month of May, says a press release.
Till May, REB has provided electricity to one crore seventeen lakh and five thousand households through 72 Palli Bidyut Samity.
To achieve the objectives of rural electrification programme by 2021 at the implementation level, REB plans to build 1.30 lakh new electricity distribution lines, 1,107 sub station and 25,000 kilo meter new electricity line, among others.
