Bangabandhu, Bangamata Gold Cup finals today
Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) will host both the finals of Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament and Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Gold Cup Primary School Football tournaments today.
Palichara government primary school of Rangpur will face-off Kalsindur government primary school of Mymensingh in the final of Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Gold Cup tournament at 2:30pm.
Faizunnesa government primary school of Coxs Bazar will lock horns with Korgram government primary school of Sylhet in the Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament at 4:30pm.
Primary and Mass Education minister Mostafizur Rahman Fizar stated this at a press conference at his office in the secretariat yesterday.
There are many hidden genius in the rural areas but they dont bloom properly in absence of proper care and opportunity. The tournaments will pick better players from the grassroots. Many of them will get opportunity to play in the national level under-13 and under-19, the minister said.
The minister will inaugurate both the final matches and distribute prizes among the winners.
Each tournament champion will receive Tk 1,00,000 while runner-up will get Tk 75,000 and the third place team will be awarded with Tk 50,000 as prize money.
