Training and CME on Autism and Neonatal Health in BSMMU

 

A conference was held in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on the 2nd of June on Competency Enhancement of Diagnosis and Treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder for Child in Bangladesh. The seminar was organized jointly by Institute of Paediatric Neuro-disorder and Autism (IPNA) and Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The honourable Vice Chancellor of BSMMU Prof. Dr Kamrul Hassan Khan chaired the session. Another CME on Perinatal Review and Update of HBB (Helping Babies Breathe) was held the same day in BSMMU. The honourable Vice Chancellor of BSMMU Prof. Dr Kamrul Hassan Khan chaired the session.
National Professor Dr M. R. Khan chaired the occasion. Other dignitaries who were present at the CME were Prof. Dr. Md. Shahidullah Vice Chancellor of BSMMU (Research and Development), Prof Dr. Ruhul Amin Mia and others.        Source: Stethoscope desk     

Early intervention and home care can help by making life easier for the children with autism


 “There are many things parents can do to help children with autism overcome their challenges. Early intervention is the most effective way to speed up child's development and reduce the symptoms of autism” - focused in a day-long training programme organized by the Institute of Paediatric Neurodisorders and Autism (IPNA) in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on Saturday, 30May 2015.
The programme titled ‘Early Intervention and Home Management for the Parents of the Children with Autism’ demonstrated various scientific methods on managing the children with autism at home. The aim of the programme is to create awareness among the parents about their children with autism and how to care them properly.
Parents of the children with autism and child neurologists, autism teachers and instructors, education-psychologists, developmental therapists of IPNA participated in the training programme.
