Satkhira: Doctors of both public hospitals and private clinics in the district went on an indefinite strike yesterday, demanding the withdrawal of a murder case filed against doctors and Ekota Hospital, reports UNB. Bangladesh Medical Association’s Satkhira unit acting general secretary Dr Manowar Hossain said BMA extended support to the strike enforced by the doctors of the district. Earlier, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against eight people, including three doctors of Ekota Hospital, as a pregnant woman, Sumona, died after surgery at that hospital on September 17.
