A four-member delegation of Prime University, led by chairman of its board of Trustees Md Ashraf Ali, made a courtesycall on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban yesterday. During the meeting, the delegation apprised the President of the academic activities of the university, President's press secretary Joynal Abedin told UNB. President Hamid, also the chancellor of the university, urged its authorities to teach the students about the country's Liberation War, history and tradition apart from general textbooks. He urged the delegation to ensure a congenial academic atmosphere in the university. The President emphasised the importance of job-oriented education. Secretaries concerned to the President Office were present.
