5 robbers held in capital

Detective Branch (DB) of police in separate drives arrested five suspected members of a robber gang from different parts of the capital in 24 hours till yesterday morning, reports UNB. Identities of the arrestees could not be known immediately. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy commissioner (media) Muntasirul Islam said the law enforcers conducted separate drives in different areas of the city in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning and arrested the five robber gang members. The law enforcers also recovered two pick-up vans, three microbuses, one private car and three machetes from their possession. Details of the drive will be available later, he added.
