Abductor beaten dead, another injured

A suspected abductor was killed in mob beating and a woman was badly injured at Rajapur village in Jhenidah Sadar on Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as Idris Ali, 42, of Gosaihat village in Shailkupa upazila and injured woman was identified as Rabea Khatun, 40, of Chardolla village in the same upazila.
Officer in-charge of Jhenidah sadar police station Hasan Hafizur Rahman said some abductors including the woman were trying to abduct
Shakil Ahmed, 3, son of Uzzal Biswas of Rajapur village at about 6 pm on the day.
At this locals chased them and later beat the suspected abductors leaving one of them severely injured.
Being informed, police from Sadar police station rushed to the spot and rescued the injured Idris and Rabea.
The cops then whisked them to sadar hospital where Idris succumbed to his injuries, and Rabea is under treatment.
No case was filed till writing of this report.
